Reservations
To reserve an item currently on loan to
another borrower fill in a form at the counter
Inter-library-loans
Forms are available from the library
counter for borrowing books, theses and journal articles from other libraries.
Students on non-degree courses must have
their tutor's permission to do this.
Requests
You may also request that the library purchases
an item you need for your course which is not currently in stock. Ask at the
counter.
Staff
Jay Glasby: Head of Library and
Learning Resources
Jay graduated from Strathclyde University
with a BA in Librarianship and Sociology. Before joining the staff of Leeds
College of Music she was the Senior Reference Librarian in South Lanarkshire
Council. She is a keen violinist.
Gwyneth Allatt: Librarian
Amongst Gwyneth's qualifications are a BA
in English, and MSc in Information studies, and an MA in History. Before
working here she worked at Manchester Polytechnic and Bretton Hall College.
She enjoys playing the flute.
William Mark Cadwallader: Library
Assistant
Mark is a graduate of the Royal Northern
College of Music, where his first study was composition. He has since
completed a BA at the Open University. He has recently gained an MSc in
Information Studies at Leeds Metropolitan University.
Claire Marsh: Library Assistant
After studying for a BMus in music at the
University of Birmingham Claire spent a year working in the library there. She
has recently passed an MSc in Library and Information Management. Her dissertation
concerned jazz archives of the UK.
Lucy Jackson: Library Assistant
Lucy worked at the
college for six months last year, and has now returned. She has an MSc in
Information Studies and a BA in Visual Communication and Religious
Studies. Her interests include singing, playing guitar and swimming.
David Thompson: Library Assistant
David has a BA in Library
and Information Management from Manchester Metropolitan University. He has
previously worked for the careers service in Hampshire and for the NHS.He is a
jazz enthusiast and extremely interested in the history of jazz. Until recently
he regularly played trumpet in a jazz band.
